Augusta, ME – On October 11, 2023 Zohra Ahmed will discuss Social Movements Pushing for Criminal Justice Reform
Zohra Ahmed is an assistant professor of law at the University of Georgia, where she teaches courses related to criminal law, prisons, and social movements. She has worked as a public defender in Manhattan, and as a human rights attorney representing individuals on death row in Tanzania and the United States. She continues to work closely with community groups in the United States challenging criminalization.
